When it comes to table saws, DEWALT are a name that we well and truly trust and considering this particular product is the bestselling table saw available on Amazon, it’s pretty clear that table saw users trust the brand too. We’d imagine that’s largely down to the compact form factor of the table saw, coupled with its level of power.

At the core of what this particular table saw offers is a range of different features. Some of these features are pretty standard which you’ll know if you have read our other table saw reviews, whilst others are bespoke to the DEWALT DW745. With that in mind, we’ve taken a look at some key product features.
15 Amp Motor – When it comes to using a table saw, no matter what type of saw you’re opting for, it goes without saying that you’re going to want to be able to get a fair bit of power out of your saw. We’d definitely find that to be the case with the 15 amp motor that has been included with the DEWALT DW745.
We wouldn’t say that a 15 amp motor is as strong as it gets in terms of table saw motors, but it’s certainly pretty powerful and should do the job for what you need the saw for. Then again, you’ll need to carefully consider what you plan on using the saw for.
Ajustable Blade
Blade Adjustability – With your table saw, you’re going to need to be able to cut a fair amount of different materials and sizes of those materials. Whilst this is something that many table saw manufacturers don’t tend to take into consideration, we have to commend DEWALT on their decision to do just that with the DW745. In fact, it offers a blade that can be adjusted between 0 and 45 degrees for applying bevels.
If you’re planning on cutting the same material and size of material every day, there’s a good chance that you won’t need this adjust-ability. However, traders who carry out a range of different jobs, really do need access to that adjust-ability in order to be flexible in the services that they offer. You may find just that to be the case with your table saw.
Designed for North America – Obviously this is a product being sold in the United States, so you’d expect to be usable in the country. However, as previous owners of a table saw will be aware, this isn’t always the case. Many table saws tend to be designed and built for the European or Asian market and then imported to the states. This in turn causes a fair amount of compatibility issues.
With that in mind, it’s better all-round that this and DEWALT’s other table saw products are designed and built in North America for North America. This isn’t necessarily something you need out of a table saw, but it should definitely give you peace of mind.

- The number one bestselling product on Amazon when it comes to table saws, which tells you something about the popularity of this product. As with all of DEWALT’s table saws, it’s fair to say that you can’t go too far wrong here.
- This is quite clearly a product that is designed to be adjustable. The fact that you can change the angling of the table saw and a range of other features, undeniably makes it one of the most flexible table saws available and great attention to detail.
- As aforementioned in the features section of the review, this is a table saw designed and built for the North American market. Because of that, you’re not going to be getting a European or Asian table saw that has been imported to the US.
DEWALT DW745 Cons
- Weighing in at 53.2 pounds, this isn’t a particularly heavy table saw, however, it’s nowhere near as light as some other compact table saws that you’ll come across. Meaning that you might not find the portability that you need with this product.
